Atlantic Canada Trails Conference

The Great Coastal Trail Authority hosted the inaugural Atlantic Canada Trails Conference in Rocky Harbour, bringing together more than 70 participants from across Atlantic Canada, including communities, government partners, Indigenous leaders, trail builders, entrepreneurs, and environmental organizations, to explore the future of trails, trail tourism, and economic development in the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Over three days, delegates examined how trails can revitalize communities, learned from national and international experts on sustainable trail design, and shared perspectives on reconciliation, regional collaboration, and the evolving tourism landscape.
