Erika Pardy is the Executive Director of the Great Coastal Trail Authority and a dynamic leader with deep roots in rural Newfoundland and Labrador. Born in Labrador, raised on Fogo Island, and with strong family ties in Twillingate, she understands firsthand the realities, resilience, and challenges facing coastal and rural communities. That lived experience shapes her commitment to creating meaningful opportunity and long-term prosperity for the regions she serves.

Alongside her deep connection to place, Erika brings a broad global perspective. Having lived in places such as Montana, Scotland, New York City, Montreal, and Toronto, as well as travelling extensively throughout the world, she has spent significant time immersed in different cultures, landscapes, and heritage communities. Those experiences have given her a unique appreciation for how place-based development, tourism, storytelling, and community identity can transform regions.

Professionally, Erika has built a reputation as an energetic and visionary executive with experience in leadership, economic development, marketing, entrepreneurship, and strategic growth. She is known for bringing people together, building momentum, and turning bold ideas into practical results.

Beyond her executive work, Erika is also a published writer and author who has produced hundreds of articles on a wide range of subjects. In her personal life, she has long been passionate about ranching, farming, and self-sufficiency—interests that reflect her strong connection to the land, hard work, and rural tradition.
